Upfronts 2013: CBS Set to Finish Sales Steady With Last Year

Pharmaceutical, tech and financial services advertising were strong for CBS this year

Following The CW's completion of its upfront ad sales on Wednesday, CBS has nearly completed its sales for the year. And, like The CW, the network has found it same in essentially the same territory as it did last year.

Though a little bit of business remains to be completed, overall volume for CBS was on par with the the $2.7 billion that it brought in last year, and is expected that it will lead sales volume among the networks as it did last year. Roughly 70 to 80 percent of the network's ad inventory has been sold, an individual with knowledge of situation told TheWrap.
