‘Veronica Mars’ Star Ryan Hansen on Movie’s Sequel: ‘We Won’t Have You Pay for It’ (Video)

The actor tells TheWrap what it was like to reprise Dick for the series’ big-screen return

If Ryan Hansen had a say, he would totally greenlight another “Veronica Mars” movie.

“I know, let’s do another one,” Hansen joked with TheWrap about another “Veronica Mars” movie while promoting his new CBS comedy, “Bad Teacher.”

“We won’t have you guys pay for it. We’ll have someone else pay for it,” he continued about the movie that broke crowdfunding site Kickstarter records.

Hansen reprised his role as Dick Casablancas, Logan Echolls’ (Jason Dohring) womanizing best friend and the son of one of the wealthiest men in Neptune.

“Being with every single person from the show in the reunion scene,” he said of his favorite part of the movie. “It really was like a real reunion for all of us, in the rain, fighting with my friends. It was so cool.”

Spoiler alert! Hansen is referring to the epic brawl between several of the guys that broke out during the reunion and forced Veronica (Kristen Bell) to set off the sprinkler system in order to stop the fight.

“Working with Kristen again, with [creator Rob Thomas], every part of it was so cool,” he added.

Bell has said that returning to the role was like second nature to her and Hansen said it was the same for him and reprising Dick.

“Rob writes it and you’re just like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s what I’m supposed to do.’ He makes it so easy for us,” he said.
