Video: Massive Storm Leads to ‘Big Brother’ UK Evacuation

Contestants on the British version of the reality show had to leave their house for four hours due to flooding

All nine of the contestants on the British version of "Big Brother" had to evacuate after a freak storm caused flooding in their house.

"Big Brother" is an Orwellian reality show franchise that has existed in various forms around the world since debuting in the Netherlands in 1999. Contestants spend their time on the show sequestered in a house that's wired with hidden cameras and microphones.

TV Guide Canada reports that the isolation was broken briefly on the current U.K. edition of the series by the deluge. "Big Brother's" flood evacuation ended about four hours later after the crew put together a temporary bedroom and the house guests were able to return.

Video of the deluge and the cast's subsequent escape is below.
