What’s Next for ‘Wicked’ Star Idina Menzel?

Idina Menzel, the Tony Award-winning actress from "Wicked," is working on a film but still has "some stuff for theater" to come

Idina Menzel hasn't appeared on Broadway since winning the Tony Award in 2004 for playing Elphaba in the hit musical "Wicked."

Getty ImagesBut fans of the actress — and there are many — have gotten their Menzel fixes from her concerts and various film and television appearances, most recently in "Glee," playing Vocal Adrenaline coach-turned McKinley High staffer Shelby Cochran (and Rachel's birth mother).

Menzel, at the opening of "The Book of Mormon" in Hollywood Wednesday at the Pantages Theatre, said that next up is Disney's new animated movie "Frozen" — written by none other than "Book of Mormon" co-creator Robert Lopez.

In "Frozen," Menzel will voice the character of Elsa, the Snow Queen, who is the subject of the search by a young, mountain-climbing girl named Anna, voiced by Kristen Bell ("Forgetting Sarah Marshall"). The film is slated for release in November 2013.

But fear not, theater lovers — the Tony Award-winning actress hasn't abandoned the stage. Menzel says she has "some other stuff for theater that I'm not ready to talk about yet." Here she is, talking about not talking about it:
