Jennifer Hudson, Usher Highlight CBS Whitney Houston Tribute in November

Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Usher among the performers who will honor deceased singer Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston, the "I Will Always Love You" singer who died in February at the age of 48, will be remembered with a tribute special that will include performances by Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Usher, CBS said Thursday.

Getty ImagesThe special, titled "We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston," will tape Oct 11 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live and air on the network Nov. 16.

Additional performers will be announced in the future. The special "will celebrate Houston's life, artistry and most memorable performances through interviews with and performances by various artists paying homage" to Houston, who won six Grammy awards in her lifetime, the networks said.

"Dreamgirls" and "American Idol" alum Hudson, who was presented with her first Grammy by Houston, performed a tribute to the singer at this year's awards ceremony in February, singing Houston's signature hit "I Will Always Love You."

Houston died the day before the Grammys in the bathtub of her suite at the Beverly Hilton. The coroner later determined that Houston, who was found by a member of her personal staff, had died of accidental drowning, and that cocaine and heart disease also played a role.
