Today is “Back to the Future” Day and you’re going to read a lot about what the franchise’s first sequel got right about the future/present — from the advent of hoverboards to the rise of the Chicago Cubs, “BTTF” proved to be astonishingly prescient.
But there are predictions behind the predictions, wheels within wheels that suggest the film may not only have taken some lucky stabs at the here and now — but may have engineered them!
The VR headsets and personal drones forecast in the film are well documented, but what about hipster headwear? Or prankvertising? Or “Back to the Future’s” prediction of a near future if the GOP’s nominee wins the upcoming presidential election?
