Will Smith and Margot Robbie play a high-risk con game in the first trailer for grifter romance “Focus.”

“Crazy, Stupid, Love” filmmakers John Requa and Glenn Ficarra wrote and directed the film, about veteran con man Nicky (Smith), whose world is turned upside down when he takes Robbie’s character Jess, a rising star in the game, under his wing.

The two go their separate ways but collide again years later when Jess has come into her own as a femme fatale, threatening one of the biggest cons of Nicky’s career.

Ben Affleck and Kristen Stewart were previously attached to an earlier incarnation of the project, which was originally set up as a potential starring vehicle for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Denise Di Novi produced the movie.

“Focus” will be released on Feb. 27, 2015.
