“Wonder Woman” has pulled in $125 million from overseas markets this weekend, putting it over some major superhero titles like its fellow DC Extended Universe title, “Man of Steel.”

Overall, “Wonder Woman” has outperformed the international opening for “Man of Steel,” as well as those for several Marvel titles like “Doctor Strange,” both “Thor” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, and the first two “Captain America” and “Iron Man” films. On IMAX, the film made $9.3 million overseas, with $4.5 million from China. That is the second-highest overseas IMAX opening for a DC film, slotting in between “Batman v Superman” and “Suicide Squad.”

China was the top market with a $38.2 million opening, the fourth-highest in that country for Warner Bros. That total was also nearly matched by the other ten Asian markets, where the film combined for $34.1 million and swept the No. 1 spots.

Combined with the film’s $103.1 million opening, “Wonder Woman” now has a global start of $228.1 million. The film next opens in France on Wednesday and in Germany on June 15.
