Rockets launch, bridges fall and cars get sliced in half in the dramatic new teaser for 20th Century Fox’s “X-Men: Apocalypse,” which premiered during Super Bowl 50 on Sunday.
The new film follows the storyline from the comic series, in which Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the first mutant who has been alive since the days of ancient Egypt, awakens from thousands of years of suspended animation and is disgusted with the world he finds.
Apocalypse recruits a team of powerful mutants to wipe human beings off the planet. Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) must team up and train a new group of mutants to stop him.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” hits theaters on May 27.
