Why ‘Younger’ Star Miriam Shor Doesn’t Recommend Shooting Bike Scenes in Heels (Exclusive Video)

“Is that fun… or a death wish? You tell me,” actress told TheWrap

High-heeled shoes and bicycles don’t mix, as “Younger” co-star Miriam Shor learned the hard way while filming a Season 3 episode of the TV Land comedy.

“I did ride a bike on the streets of Manhattan with four-and-a-half inch heels. Is that fun… or a death wish? You tell me,” Shor, who plays the demanding Diana Trout, told TheWrap. She added, “I was in severe pain, and everyone was laughing at me. That was great. I like when people laugh at me when I’m in pain.”

Diana is known for being tough on her assistant Liza (Sutton Foster), but Shor enjoys those rare chances to explore the character’s softer side.

“I like any time she’s vulnerable because she’s so strong — I love that about her,” Shor said. “I love that she’s strong, and she is unapologetically strong and believes that she absolutely deserves a seat at the table, and that is something that I could use more in my actual life, and she has that in spades. [But] I like when the rug gets pulled out from her, and she’s at a loss.”

The actress continued, “I also really love moments when she and Liza bond, and you can tell there’s a true friendship between them — I really love that, and the writers like to drop those moments in there.”

“Younger” returns to TV Land for Season 4 on June 28.
