Zendaya is not happy that Modeliste magazine “manipulated” images of her body for a new photo spread.

The singer took to Instagram to post a before-and-after split of the image in the interest of promoting “self love” over “unrealistic” beauty standards.

“Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated,” she wrote. “These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Any who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it.”

The side-by-side shows that the left Zendaya is more bronzed, thinner, and has smoother skin.

The singer finished the post by thanking the magazine for already taking down the image.

“Thank you #modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue,” Zendaya continued.
