Producer Laura Ziskin will deliver the commencement address at the USC School of Cinematic Arts graduation ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium on May 15.
Also announced by Dean Elizabeth Daley, SCA alum Shonda Rimes, creator of "Grey’s Anatomy" and "Private Practice," will receive the school’s Mary Pickford Foundation Award.
Founded in collaboration with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1929, the School of Cinematic Arts is celebrating its 80th anniversary.
Past recipients of the Pickford award include Ziskin, Jay Roach, Walter Murch, Stacey Sher, John Singleton and Robert Zemeckis.
