She can kind of only do two words
Zooey Deschanel does a killer Elvis. Or at least she has the clothes, wig and snarl down pat.
Those attributes will be featured in an upcoming episode of Fox's “New Girl.” Based on a photo released by the hit sitcom, the actress will perform at a funeral dolled up as the King. In the show, Deschanel sings such Elvis Presley classics as “In the Ghetto” and “Burning Love.”
Deschanel admitted that nobody will mistake her for the singer. Her entire impression is based on Elvis saying “Hey mama” a lot in old movies, she told Conan O'Brien on the host's Monday night program.
In a new TBS clip, the two discover O'Brien's related hidden talent. Hint: It involves head-banging to the Elvis satellite radio channel aided by lots of hair spray.
Season 3 of “New Girl” premieres Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET.
