“Thank God It’s Friday”
The much-maligned disco movement produced a much-maligned disco movie in the 1978 Donna Summer/Village People vehicle “Thank God It’s Friday,” but an AMPAS New York screening in the summer of 2012 threw in drag icon Hedda Lettuce to host and included a rare clip of Summer performing on the Oscars in 1979.
