FremantleMedia North America Names Christine Shaw SVP of Communications and Marketing,

Will work on “American Idol” and other hits

FremantleMedia North America has named Christine Shaw as its new senior vice president of communications and marketing, effective immediately.

Shaw will report to chief operating officer Lee Rierson and will lead all efforts surrounding FremantleMedia North America’s library of TV properties, including  “American Idol,” “The X Factor,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Price is Right,” “Let’s Make a Deal” and “Family Feud.”

Shaw comes to FremantleMedia from BBC Worldwide, where she served as the vice president of Communications. She worked previously at Murphy O’Brien Public Relations. Earlier in her career, she worked for Rogers & Cowan, where she worked on the Emmy campaign that garnered FX the first ever cable-TV best actor Emmy for “The Shield.”
