The nominations are in for the 77th annual Golden Globe awards — and so are the reactions from those who were lucky enough to get a nod.
As per usual, there are many “honored,” “grateful,” “thrilled” and “proud” could-be-winners in 2020’s pool, including Martin Scorsese, Ben Platt, Saoirse Ronan, Peter Morgan, Scarlett Johansson, Kathy Bates, Emma Thompson and Sacha Baron Cohen. Actually, some are “beyond thrilled” and “beyond excited” and even “truly blessed” to have received recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association this year.

Martin Scorsese, Best Director – Motion Picture, “The Irishman”:

Saoirse Ronan, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama, “Little Women”:

My congratulations goes out to Joe Pesci for his nomination, as well, and I’m deeply thankful to Robert De Niro who gave me the opportunity to be in this film. It was his selfless and nuanced portrayal that drove the movie and gave the film its perspective, allowing these characters to excel. Michael Ellenberg, Best Television Series – Drama, “The Morning Show”:
