Ryan Murphy’s “9-1-1” recovered from last week’s double-digit ratings decline, and Fox again finished first among the key 18-49 demographic. Even “The X-Files” ticked up versus the prior Wednesday, though that was a much slighter increase.
NBC and ABC tied for second place last night in primetime ratings, again just one-tenth of a Nielsen point behind Fox. NBC, which aired the 100th episode of “The Blacklist,” was No. 1 in terms of total viewers. CBS was a close second there.
Fox was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but third in total viewers with an average of 5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The X-Files” at 8 p.m. had a 1.1/4 and 3.9 million viewers. At 9, “9-1-1” posted a 1.8/6 and 6.2 million viewers, which was up 20 percent and 13 percent from last week, respectively.
NBC and ABC tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.3/5. NBC was first in total viewers with 6.45 million, ABC was fourth with 4.8 million.
For NBC, “The Blacklist” at 8 landed a 1.1/4 and 6.5 million viewers — the largest audience for the series since May 2016. At 9, “Law & Order SVU” got a 1.4/5 and 6.2 million viewers. “Chicago P.D.” At 10 received a 1.4/5 and 6.6 million viewers.
For ABC, “The Goldbergs” at 8 earned a 1.7/7 and 6.5 million viewers. At 8:30, “Speechless” got a 1.3/5 and 4.8 million viewers. “Modern Family” at 9 scored a 1.8/6 and 6.2 million viewers. “American Housewife” at 9:30 had a 1.3/5 and 5 million viewers. At 10, “Match Game” managed a 0.8/3 and 3.3 million viewers.
CBS was fourth in ratings with a 1.2/4, but second in viewers with 6.36 million. “The Amazing Race” at 8 received a 1.5/5 and 6.8 million viewers. At 9, “SEAL Team” got a 1.1/4 and 6.6 million viewers. “Criminal Minds” at 10 closed primetime with a 1.0/4 and 5.6 million viewers.
Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.5 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.3 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in viewers with 1 million. “Riverdale” at 8 had a 0.5/2 and 1.4 million viewers. “Dynasty” at 9 settled for a 0.2/1 and 643,000 viewers.
