Thank the Lord of Light, “Game of Thrones” fans! Because we now know the exact date when we will learn the exact date in April in which the eighth and final season premieres on HBO. Yes, you read that correctly.

While we don’t have a premiere date for the launch of the final six episodes of the fantasy epic, HBO mentioned — in a rather cryptic tweet Friday — when they will be revealing the premiere date: before the start of Season 3 of “True Detective” this coming Sunday.

See below:

Up until that whole “text” exchange above, HBO had just been promoting that the final season of “Game of Thrones” would debut in April 2019. But that’s it. No confirmation on whether that means April 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th — which are all the possible Sundays fans have been gambling over since they found out the premiere month in the fall.

Now TheWrap has learned the premiere date will be announced via a teaser right before “True Detective” premieres at 9 p.m. on HBO. And when we say teaser, we do mean teaser, as there is still no word on when the full Season 8 trailer will launch.

Oh, now, don’t be greedy and just pray to the Old Gods and the New that Sunday gets here fast.
