“This Is Us” returned to TV after being bumped by Trump last week, and the drama and its host network topped Tuesday’s primetime among adults 18-49.

That said, the Pearson Family’s “live” Nielsen numbers were lower than what its last original posted. Considering it hadn’t aired in three weeks, perhaps some of the regular “This Is Us” audience didn’t even know their favorite show was back.

Led by a huge audience for “NCIS,” CBS won the night in terms of total viewers.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 6.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Ellen’s Game of Games” at 8 p.m. posted a 1.5/6 and 6 million viewers. “This Is Us” at 9 put up a 1.7/7 and 7.3 million viewers.
