Dana Brunetti and producing partner Keegan Rosenberger’s Cavalry Media has tapped veteran CAA agent Matt DelPiano to lead the company’s newly launched division Cavalry Management.

Cavalry Media, the finance and production outfit that was established in June 2018, announced on Wednesday that it was forming a full-service management company to represent talent across all facets of the entertainment industry.

“Launching this division makes sense on every level for Cavalry — not only does it create a new revenue stream for the company, but it will consolidate many creative and business processes, and allow Cavalry to connect projects with the right talent seamlessly and synergistically,” Cavalry co-founders Dana Brunetti and Keegan Rosenberger said in a joint statement. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Matt, a brilliant talent rep, executive and trusted partner, in this next phase of his career.”

DelPiana, a 26-year veteran of CAA, joins Cavalry Media as a partner and president of Cavalry Management effective immediately. In his new role, DelPiano will also produce film and TV projects for Cavalry.

DelPiano’s clients have included Alec Baldwin, Mariska Hargitay, Al Pacino, Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Sinise, Jennifer Lopez, Gabrielle Union, James Caan, Martha Raddatz, Andrea Mitchell and Tucker Carlson.

“I am very excited to be partnering with Dana and Keegan, which will allow us to foster the best talent and develop interesting projects under one roof,” DelPiano said in a statement. “I am very much looking forward to all the new opportunities I know will exist in the environment Dana, Keegan and I will be creating at Cavalry.”

As an agent, DelPiano has worked closely with Cavalry’s Dana Brunetti for more than 15 years. He was instrumental in the acquisition of the life rights for Universal’s “Thai Cave Project,” about the 2018 rescue of 12 young soccer players and their coach, which Cavalry and Mike De Luca are producing.

DelPiano and Brunetti also collaborated to secure the life rights for Sony to Captain Richard Phillips, which led to the 2013 Oscar- nominated film, “Captain Phillips,” starring Tom Hanks and directed by Paul Greengrass. The film grossed more than $218 million at the worldwide box office.

“We congratulate Matt on his new venture,” CAA partner and managing director Kevin Huvane said in a statement. “Matt has been a trusted friend and colleague for over 25 years. Although we will miss seeing him every day, we wish him nothing but the best and look forward to collaborating with him in his new role as manager and producer.”
