‘Fox & Friends’ Fires Back at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Be Quiet, Come Back When You Grow Up’ (Video)

“Why do Democrats kowtow to a 29-year-old or 28-year-old when they know that this is not plausible?” co-host Brian Kilmeade asks

“Fox & Friends” took another swipe at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during their broadcast on Tuesday, with c0-host Brian Kilmeade asking why Democrats felt the need to “kowtow” to her. The show also played footage of Rush Limbaugh attacking the freshman Congresswoman.

“Why do Democrats kowtow to a 29-year-old or 28-year-old when they know that this is not plausible? Listen,” Kilmeade said introducing the Limbaugh monologue.

“Her ideas take off  because there’s nobody willing to say ‘you don’t know what you’re talking about. Be quiet, come back when you grow up,’” Limbaugh said in the clip. “She just keeps spewing this stuff. And there’s nobody to tell her no. There isn’t a single person in the Democrat party with any guts to tell her no.”

Limbaugh added that Ocasio-Cortez was “wrong about practically everything she is passionate about.”

Elsewhere in the show, hosts took aim at Ocasio-Cortez’s much-discussed Green New Deal.

“It’s going to be extremely expensive,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt noted on set. “But some of these Democrats have said that is the cost you have to pay to keep our country safe.”

“They’re even worried about people who aren’t willing to work,” Earhardt added, referencing a since retracted policy document from AOC’s team. “If you don’t care about getting a job, you just want to sit at home on your tail, we’ll pay for it.”

It’s far from the first time “Fox & Friends” has gone after Ocasio-Cortez. On Monday, the show took issue with her decision to ensure that no member of her office made less than $52,000 a year. Co-host Pete Hegseth called the move open “communism” and warned Ocasio-Cortez would be forced her to shortchange more critical senior staff.

“Every Capitol Hill office has a limited amount of money to pay their staff. So you have to decide how to allocate it. She said everyone in my office will [be] paid a living wage,” Hegseth said. “Which means your entry level intern is making 52 grand while your chief of staff — who is a very important role in a congressional office — now is capped at 80 [thousand].”

The congresswoman fired right back on Twitter that same day.

“The GOP is so disconnected from the basic idea that people should be paid enough to live that Fox actually thinks me paying a living wage in my office is ‘communism,’” Ocasio-Cortez said. “So the next time GOP screams ‘socialist,’ know that’s their go-to attack for any common-sense, humane policy.”
