ABC’s midseason comedy “Bless This Mess” has added a new face to its cast ahead of its April 16 premiere.

Madison Curry, who stars in the upcoming horror flick “Us” from director Jordan Peele, has joined the cast of the Lake Bell comedy in a recasting. Curry will play Cherry, the granddaughter of the character played by Pam Grier. She steps in for actress Christina Offley, who played the role in the original Fox pilot.

Co-written by Bell and “New Girl” creator Elizabeth Meriwether, “Bless This Mess” stars Bell and Dax Shepard as a newlywed couple whose plans to ditch big city living for a simpler life in Nebraska don’t go as expected.

The six-episode comedy is a co-production between 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios.

Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar are also executive producers, as are Dax Shepard and Katherine Pope. Bell directed the pilot.

Deadline first reported the news.
