WWE ‘Fastlane’: Watch The Shield’s Last-Ever Triple Powerbomb (Video)

You know, unless it’s not

The Shield — Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose — reunited one last time Sunday at WWE pay-per-view event, “Fastlane.” Their final triple powerbomb was saved for Baron Corbin, who so, so, so deserved it.

Watch what is being billed as — and may actually be — the last Shieldbomb ever:

Before Corbin got his (scripted) comeuppance, Drew McIntyre got trip-powerbombed through an announce table:

Yes, the good guys won.

Though Reigns is back in WWE action after his cancer treatment, it is an Ambrose exit that will split the Shield up this time. His WWE contract expires soon, and apparently there are no plans of coming to a new agreement.

Oddly, WWE has been very forthcoming and talkative about Ambrose’s upcoming exit. That would typically mean one of three things is happening here: 1) He’s definitely out and WWE wants to promote a final run; 2) The openness about Dean’s exit is being used by WWE management as a negotiating tactic; or 3) Ambrose will actually be sticking around and all of this deal drama is for use in a future storyline. Unfortunately for fans of The Lunatic Fringe, Option 3 is the least likely in this instance.

“Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April,” a spokesman for WWE told us via a statement on Jan. 29. “We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.”
