‘Double Shot at Love With DJ Pauly D and Vinny’ Trailer Asks: ‘Will You Accept These Bros?’

Two “Jersey Shore” vets search for love among 20 contestants

Forget roses — on MTV’s new reality dating show “Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny,” Vinny Guadagnino has a different proposition: “Will you accept these bros?”

The first trailer, which dropped Thursday, finds “Jersey Shore” vets Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino living their best bachelor life. Vowing that they’re “here to find love,” Pauly, Vinny and their prospective significant others toast with shot glasses as they all move into a house together, after which much drama soon commences.

Just in time for the 10th anniversary of “Jersey Shore,” the spinoff premieres April 11 on MTV with back-to-back episodes.

Here’s how it works: 20 female contestants will compete with one another to avoid elimination, while the boys compete for their affection. Pauly D is a world-traveling DJ with a Las Vegas residency and a luxurious lifestyle; Vinny wants a relationship with someone he can take home for Sunday family dinner.

But although the men have the last word on who stays and who goes, the women ultimately get to decide which Jersey boy they’re fighting for.

The “Jersey Shore” spinoff was ordered to series in January. This is MTV’s third iteration on the subject — the original “Double Shot at Love,” which was an off-shoot of the network’s own “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila,” aired for one season from 2008-2009, starring bisexual twins Erica and Victoria Mongeon, who looked for love among 12 men and 12 women.

MTV’s SallyAnn Salsano will produce. Salsano is the original creator of “Jersey Shore,” which premiered 10 years ago this year. She’s also behind the hit show’s current revival “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” as well as spinoffs “Snooki & JWoww,” and “The Pauly D Project.”

“Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny” premieres April 11 at 8/7c on MTV.
