Classic episodes of “Roseanne” and “3rd Rock From the Sun” are heading to Stirr, Sinclair’s recently launched vMVPD service, the network announced Tuesday morning.

The additions are part of a larger deal between Sinclair and FilmRise, which will see several titles from FilmRise’s content library stream on Stirr, including “Unsolved Mysteries” and “21 Jump Street.” The content will be featured on Stirr’s Channel 1 local news platform between its live news segments and will also be available on-demand on a FilmRise branded hub page within the service.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with one of the largest and most diversified television broadcasting companies in the country,” Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise, said in a statement. “Their priority is aligned with ours — for audiences to watch a deep selection of on-demand programming in an easy, convenient and free way.”

“Since our launch in January, we have consistently sought out the best of film, television and documentaries, and are thrilled to add FilmRise’s content to our growing library,” Benjamin Lister, head of Content Acquisition and Business Development for Stirr, added. “We’re committed to delivering Stirr users robust streaming options, and FilmRise will expand their access to award-winning titles across genres.”

Launched in January, Stirr is a streaming TV and video-on-demand service that offers content from Sinclair’s collection of local news stations as well as from 20 national networks including BUZZR, Charge, Cheddar, Comet, CONtv, Dove Channel, DUST, and FailArmy. The streaming service has also developed original channels, including Stirr Movies, Stirr Sports, and Stirr Life. The streamer plans to add new linear networks monthly with the goal of growing to over 50 by the end of 2019.
