Hallmark Channel has renewed Lori Loughlin’s former show “When Calls the Heart” for its seventh season, her co-star Erin Krakow announced on Instagram Saturday.

“I am thrilled to announce ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 7, coming next year,” Krakow said in a video.

After a month-long hiatus following the axing of Loughlin over her college admissions scandal, the Hallmark Channel announced April 10 that the period drama was returning with two new episodes on Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6.

Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were among dozens of parents arrested last month after federal investigators said they paid thousands of dollars in bribes to get their children into top universities like Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and USC. Loughlin has since been charged with a number of crimes, including money laundering and wire fraud. They have not entered a plea.

In a statement last month, Hallmark parent company Crown Media said it was no longer working with Loughlin and had “stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including ‘Garage Sale Mysteries,’ an independent third-party production.”

Loughlin’s scenes in the episodes airing in May have been edited out. There’s no word yet as to if her character, Abigail Stanton, will be written off the show or recast.
