Trevor Noah Says It’s ‘Almost Comforting’ That Trump Is ‘Too Lazy to Follow Through’ With Abuse of Power (Video)

“The Daily Show” host looks at the Mueller Report

On Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah took a deeper look at the Mueller Report and said he found it “almost comforting.”

Part of the report details how Trump, according to special counsel Robert Mueller, appears to have given instructions of questionable legality to his subordinates, who then just didn’t carry them out. For instance, the report said then-White House Counsel Don McGahn told then-White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus “that the President had asked him to ‘do crazy s—.’”

Noah played a news report in which the end of that passage was pronounced on-air as a censored “crazy ess.”

“Wow. The president asked him to do crazy ess. We all know what that means. Crazy sex,” Noah joked. “Yeah. Whips, chains, magic spells… Like crazy ess, real, that’s the thing.”

Noah then pretended to talk to one of his show’s producers. “Sorry, what? It’s not…? Oh, ‘crazy s—. He asked them to do crazy s—, not crazy sex,” Noah said, correctly pronouncing the actual swear word.

Noah also said that the situation was “almost comforting” because “Trump is corrupt enough to want to abuse his powers, but he’s also too lazy to follow through.”

There’s a lot more. Watch the whole thing above.
