Breakout pop and hip-hop artist Lizzo is joining Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in STX’s upcoming Robin Hood stripper film, “Hustlers.”

Inspired by a viral 2016 New York Magazine article, the film follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. They get their revenge on wealthy, drunk and abusive clients by maxing out their credit cards after they’ve passed out.

Along with Lopez and Wu, Lizzo joins a cast that boasts Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, Mercedes Ruehl, Trace Lysette, Mette Towley and Madeline Brewer.

Lizzo released her debut album “Lizzobangers” back in 2013, but has rocketed into budding pop stardom this year.

She released her major-label debut album “Cuz I Love You” on April 19 to overwhelming critical acclaim. And, following a much-lauded performance at Coachella, her sold-out “Cuz I Love You” North American tour began on April 22, with a second sold-out leg kicking off on July 18 in Portland, Oregon.

Both through her music and personal brand, Lizzo has been an advocate for body positivity and self love.

In addition to “Hustlers,” Lizzo also worked with STX on the studio’s upcoming animated musical adventure “UglyDolls,” lending her voice to the character Lydia. That film hits theaters May 3.

STX did not reveal what her role in “Hustlers” is, but the film is currently shooting in NYC and is set to be released on Sept. 13.

STX is producing “Hustlers” alongside Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina, who previously collaborated with the studio on the 2018 romantic comedy “Second Act” and the just-announced romantic comedy “Marry Me.” Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez Productions are also producing.

Kate Vorhoff and Catherine Hagedorn are overseeing the film’s production for the studio.

STX International is handling international distribution and distributing directly in the U.K. and Ireland.
