‘For All Mankind’: Watch the First Trailer For Apple Space-Race Drama (Video)

Joel Kinnaman stars in alternate-history series from “Battlestar Galactica” creator Ronald D. Moore

Apple shared the first trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series “For All Mankind” at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday.

From “Battlestar Galactica” and “Outlander” creator Ronald D. Moore, “For All Mankind” centers on a group of NASA astronauts, engineers and their families in an alternate history in which the USSR beat the U.S. to the moon and “the global space race never ended.”

Joel Kinnaman stars in the series alongside Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt and Jodi Balfour. Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi co-created the drama with Moore, and Seth Gordon directs.

“For All Mankind” is set to be one of the first original series to debut on the upcoming Apple TV+ streaming platform, launching later this year.

It’s the first to receive a full-length trailer, following a two-minute sizzle reel featuring footage from the Jennifer Aniston-Reese Witherspoon drama “Morning Show” and Steven Spielberg’s reboot of “Amazing Stories,” among others.
