Hulu dropped the first full-length trailer for its anticipated “Veronica Mars” revival on Friday, giving us a glimpse at the new grown-up, gun-toting Veronica.
The eight-episode revival of the beloved former CW series sees the title character, played by Kristen Bell, investigating a string of serial bombings killing the spring breakers who flocked to Neptune for vacation and decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry.
In addition to Bell and series creator Rob Thomas, “Veronica Mars” alums Jason Dohring, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, David Starzyk, Max Greenfield, Ken Marino, Enrico Colantoni and Ryan Hansen are also set to return. Newcomers for the revival include Patton Oswalt, J.K. Simmons, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Dawnn Lewis.
The new season will premiere on the streamer on Friday, July 26, and fans will be able to binge the entire first three seasons of the show beginning July 1.
The series is from Spondoolie Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Along with Thomas, Diane Ruggiero-Wright and Dan Etheridge will serve as executive producers.
