New ‘Fast N’ Loud’ Season to Remake Iconic ‘Bullitt’ Car – and Chase Scene – for Steve McQueen’s Son (Exclusive Video)

Richard Rawlings’ crew will also team with HGTV and Barry Williams to soup up the “Brady Bunch” wagon

Discovery Channel is bringing back “Fast N’ Loud” for a new season starting Monday, July 8, TheWrap has learned exclusively.

In the new season’s two-hour premiere, Richard Rawlings and the crew will attempt to recreate the iconic chase scene from the 1968 movie “Bullitt,” where Steve McQueen’s ’68 Mustang Fastback ripped through the streets of San Francisco. McQueen’s son Chad McQueen joins the team to remake the whole thing.

The new season will also feature a partnership with HGTV and Barry Williams of “The Brady Bunch,” who wants his 1969 Plymouth Satellite Wagon to have the same look and feel as the original Brady Wagon, but with a “bad-ass” twist, per Discovery.

The team also gives a ’79 Scout II a super overhaul and turns a ’52 Chevy into a vintage NASCAR winner. Throughout the season, Richard and the Monkeys will attempt to create a monumental rebuild of a ’72 Riviera supercar.

Joining the Gas Monkeys this year is Russell J. Holmes from Discovery’s “Garage Rehab” as the company’s newest “fixer,” keeping the builds on time and on budget.

“Fast N’ Loud” is produced for Discovery Channel by Lionsgate’s Pilgrim Media Group, with Craig Piligian and Eddie Rohwedder serving as executive producers.

For Discovery Channel, Craig Coffman, Kyle Wheeler and Todd Lefkowitz are executive producers. Rawlings also serves as executive producer.

The new season of “Fast N’ Loud” premieres Monday, July 8 at 9/8c on Discovery Channel.
