‘Dog’s Most Wanted’ Trailer: Beth Chapman Refuses to Let Lung Cancer Take Her Off the Job (Video)

“Beth wanted nothing more than for the show to go on, and I am so proud of the legacy that she left behind,” Duane “Dog” Chapman says of his late wife

WGN America released the first trailer for “Dog’s Most Wanted” on Monday, paying tribute to the show’s late star, Beth Chapman.

“Dog’s Most Wanted” centers on bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman and his wife, Beth Chapman, as they go on a cross-country manhunt to track down a carefully curated list of Dog’s “Most Wanted” fugitives. The show also documents the couple’s personal lives and Beth’s battle with lung cancer.

“If I’m going to die, I’m going to die in my boots,” Beth says in the clip.

“My wife is, was, and always will be the heart and soul of ‘Dog’s Most Wanted,’” Duane “Dog” Chapman said in a statement. “Beth wanted nothing more than for the show to go on, and I am so proud of the legacy that she left behind. She lived and died for this show, and she would be so proud of how hard we worked bringing these criminals to justice.”

Beth Chapman died at Hawaii’s Queen’s Medical Center last month following a battle with throat and lung cancer. She was 51.

“WGN America is excited to share Dog’s and Beth’s latest and most exhilarating hunt with the world,” said Gavin Harvey, President of WGN America. “The Chapmans are beloved by millions of fans for their relentless pursuit of justice and loyalty to each other and their family. ‘Dog’s Most Wanted’ captures all of this in this riveting new series.”

The Chapmans first rose to fame on after Dog, a felon-turned-bounty hunter, pursued and captured FBI’s Most Wanted fugitive and Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster. He then became a household name with his hit TV series “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” which aired over 300 episodes in 10 years.

“Dog’s Most Wanted” premieres Wednesday, Sept. 4 on WGN America.
