ABC Slashes ‘Blood & Oil’ Episode Order

Sunday drama will air 10 episodes instead of 13

ABC has cut the episode order for “Blood & Oil.”

The series, starring Chace Crawford and Rebecca Rittenhouse, will air 10 episodes instead of the planned 13.

Airing Sunday nights ahead of fellow freshman drama “Quantico,” the series debuted to a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49, but declined to a 0.9 rating in its most recent outing.

The news comes the same day NBC’s “The Player” had its episode order reduced from 13 to 9, and CBS handed out a full season order to “Limitless” and ordered 6 additional scripts for “Code Black.”

Fox’s “Minority Report” previously saw its episode order reduced, while “Quantico,” “Dr. Ken,” “Rosewood” and “Blindspot” received full season orders from their respective networks.
