AEG Live experienced a structural shakeup on Monday, with CEO Randy Phillips departing the company.
As part of the entertainment company’s managerial restructuring, Jay Marciano, chief operating officer of AEG, will now assume the position of chairman of AEG Live, with a more active role in the management of that division.

Marciano will oversee an executive team in Los Angeles led by Paul Tollett, John Meglen, Shawn Trell and Rick Mueller.
Tollett, a newly appointed member of AEG Live’s board, has been named CEO and president of Goldenvoice, while Meglen, until recently the co-CEO of Concerts West, will take the role of president of global touring for AEG Live.

Trell, previously senior vice president and general counsel of AEG Live, will now serve as COO of AEG Live, taking over from Tom Miserendino who has relocated to London to become president and CEO of AEG Europe.
Mueller, who came to AEG Live in 2011 with two decades of experience as a concert promoter, has been upped to president of AEG Live North America.
“[Marciano] is a highly respected veteran of the live entertainment business,” said Dan Beckerman, President & CEO, AEG. “With his increased involvement in the management of AEG Live as its chairman, and with the wealth of experience and expertise found among the rest of the AEG Live executive team, there is no limit to what this group can accomplish.”
