Amy Schumer has closed a deal to star in Voltage Pictures and Wonderland Sound & Vision’s comedy, “I Feel Pretty,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The comedian will also serve as a producer on the movie. Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein wrote the script and will direct the comedy, which will mark their directorial debut.

Shooting is set to take place on the east coast this summer, but the log line is being kept under wraps.

Schumer was last seen in “Trainwreck” and will next star in “Snatched” opposite Goldie Hawn. She will also star opposite Miles Teller in the Universal film, “Thank You For Your Service,” in the fall.

She recently dropped out of the live-action “Barbie” film due to scheduling conflicts. Production for the big screen adaptation was expected to start this summer. A director is not yet attached to the project.

Voltage will finance “I Feel Pretty” and handle international distribution rights at Cannes Film Festival. UTA and Voltage will handle domestic rights.

Schumer is represented by UTA and Carrie Byalick of B. Company.

Deadline first reported the story.
