Things got a little awkward between Amy Schumer and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Vanessa Bayer in a new promo for Schumer’s upcoming appearance on the NBC sketch show.
Bayer co-starred with Schumer in the hit summer comedy “Trainwreck,” but Schumer had a little trouble remembering what role Bayer played in the film. “We had a lot of scenes together,” Bayer says. “I like 100 percent believe you,” Schumer replies.
Bayer also tried to find humor in the fact that this week’s musical guest is The Weeknd, and Saturday is part of the weekend. She tried repeatedly to get Schumer in on the joke, but has no luck.

Schumer, who won the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series Emmy this year for Comedy Central series “Inside Amy Schumer,” will host “SNL” on Oct. 10.
