Antonique Smith to Search for Taylor Lautner in ‘Abduction’

The “Notorious” actress will play a CIA agent partnered with Alfred Molina in John Singleton’s Lionsgate thriller

Antonique Smith has joined the cast of Lionsgate's thriller "Abduction."

Taylor Lautner stars as a young man who discovers his baby photo on a missing children's website and sets out to uncover the truth about his life.

Smith will play a CIA agent who's partnered with Alfred Molina. Together, the duo seek to protect Lautner as he gets closer to the truth.

Smith is best known for playing singer Faith Evans in last year's rapper drama "Notorious." She landed on Hollywood's radar on the strength of her performance as Mimi Marquez in a Broadway production of "Rent."

Smith next stars alongside Gabourey Sidibe, Zoe Kravitz and Tim Blake Nelson in Victoria Mahoney's indie film "Yelling to the Sky," which will be released sometime next year.

John Singleton directs "Abduction," which also stars Sigourney Weaver, Maria Bello and Jason Isaacs.

Smith is represented by Innovative Artists and Untitled Entertainment.
