Apple Talks 99¢ TV Downloads With Fox, CBS, ABC

Viewers would gain a 48-hour window to each program

apple logoITunes users could soon rent Fox programs for 99 cents according to a proposed plan, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday.

Viewers would gain a 48-hour window to each program according to "three people familiar with the plan" as cited by Bloomberg. CBS and Disney-owned ABC are also in talks, the report said. Apple chief Steve Jobs is Disney's largest shareholder.

Spokespersons for each of the companies declined comment.

The report also said Apple is planning a new iPod Touch with a higher resolution screen similar to the new iPhone 4, as well as a $99 Apple TV set-top box device.
