Marvel Studios on Wednesday debuted the first full trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War,” with explosive combat on many battlefronts — both on Earth and apparently in outer space as well.
The Avengers and their superhero allies again team up to sacrifice in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
The clip finds the Guardians of the Galaxy encountering Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) meetin up with Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) feeling his classic Spider-Senses for the first time, and Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) fighting the forces of villain Thanos (Josh Brolin).
Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay.
“Marvel’s The Avengers” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” have grossed a combined $1.08 billion at the domestic box office.
“Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters May 4, 2018.
