Scarlett Johansson appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Thursday, where the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” star played a game of Box of Lies against the NBC late-night host.
The two were separated by a screen with just enough space cut out of it to see each other’s faces. They then took turns opening boxes prepared by Fallon’s crew. Inside each box was a strange item. They then had the choice of accurately describing what was in the box or trying to bluff their way past their opponent.
First up, Johansson pulled down a box containing a miniature park bench with Black Widow, Johansson’s Marvel character, and a Gumby action figure sitting on it. She told Fallon, “It’s a hot dog bun shaped like the Hulk.” Fallon was amused but not taken in, as he guessed Johansson was lying.
Fallon was able to dupe Johansson as to the contents of his box as well. In the spirit of fairness, however, Fallon said, “The secret box if you choose the right one is worth a thousand points.”
