‘Bad Girls Club’ Star Linsey Jade Confirmed Dead

Jade appeared on the 12th installment of the Oxygen series

Linsey Jade, who appeared on the 12th installment of Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club,” has died, the network said Friday.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Linsey ‘Jade’ Berardi, who appeared in ‘Bad Girls Club Season 12,’” a spokesperson for Oxygen said in a statement. “Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts go out to her family, friends and fans.”

The spokesperson added that, in lieu of flowers, Jade’s family has asked that donations be made to animal shelters.

“Linsey was a lifetime animal lover and passionate advocate,” Oxygen’s statement reads.

A cause of death has not been released.

Jade appeared on the 12th season of the series, which filmed in Chicago, but exited early in the season.

The 12th season of “Bad Girls Club” premiered May 13, 2014. Jade was referred to as the Brooklyn Brat on the show. Jade, who was 21 at the time she appeared on the series, voluntarily left the house after the second episode of the season.

On Thursday, as reports of Jade’s death began to surface, her “Bad Girls Club” cohorts expressed their grief.

“Sad to find out @linsey.jade life was cut so short… Despite our introduction on BGC we became cool and were able to let the bs go,” her costar Jada Cacchilli  posted on Instagram. “However she was taken, I pray it was a peaceful depart. We may not have been friends BUT we shared an experience most will never have or truly understand… ”

A fellow cast member, Loren “Lo” London, said via Twitter, “I pray that the news is not true but if it is I send my condolences to Lindsey’s family and friends .”
