Barry Manilow Returning to Broadway for First Time in 20 Years

Barry Manilow, the big voiced crooner behind "Mandy," will return to Broadway in a limited engagement concert series

Barry Manilow is taking his act to Broadway for the first time in more than 20 years.

Getty ImagesThe big voiced, big haired crooner behind "Mandy" will appear in "Manilow on Broadway,"  a new concert series that will begin a 17-performance engagement on Jan. 18, 2013, at the St. James Theatre.

It is probably a safe bet that the evening of easy listening standards will include a lot of Manilow's hits — a catalog that includes “Could It Be Magic,” “I Write the Songs,” “Tryin’ To Get the Feeling Again,” “Looks Like We Made It”  and “Copacabana (At the Copa).”  

"Growing up in New York, Broadway has always held a special place in my heart and I am honored to have the opportunity to make the St. James Theatre my home in the New Year,” Manilow said in a statement.

Tickets will range in price from $50 to $350.
