Beyonce Knowles made one of her fan’s dreams come true on Wednesday when she video called a high school student battling stage four cancer.

According to a video posted on Twitter by user Beyonce Legion, the “Halo” singer told Ebony Banks “I love you” during the call.

Local news station KIAH reported that Banks is a student at Alief Hastings High School in Houston, Texas, and has spent most of her senior year at MC Anderson Cancer Center fighting a rare stage four cancer. Earlier this month, the school held a special early graduation ceremony for Banks, whose nickname is “Ebob” — and as the best graduation present, Banks’ friends and classmates created the hashtag #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE to help her meet the Queen Bey.

“Beyonce is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyonce’s attention,” Alief HS sophomore Karina Gutierrez told local ABC affiliate KTRK-TV.

“Thank you to everyone who helped #ebobmeetsbeyonce @Beyonce,” Banks’ school tweeted along with a screenshot from the video call.

A representative for Beyonce has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
