Bill Murray goes on a USO tour of Afghanistan in the upcoming comedy “Rock the Kasbah,” but for Monday night’s premiere the star and the rest of the cast stayed much closer to home.

The veteran comedian was joined by co-stars Kate Hudson, Bruce Willis and Zooey Deschanel for the New York premiere of the Open Road Films production held at the Loews Lincoln Square 13 theater in Manhattan.

Currently creeping out FX viewers on “American Horror Story: Hotel,” Lady Gaga was on hand to support fiancé Taylor Kinney, who also appears in the movie.

Murray plays Richie Lanz, a rock manager on hard times who puts himself smack in the danger zone while searching for a talented singer to showcase on Afghanistan’s hit show, “Afghan Star.”

While dodging car bombings and terrorists shooting guns, Lanz manages to find exactly what he is looking for, a woman with one of the best voices he’s ever heard.

While the movie features a fictional reality singing competition, real-life “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez attended the premiere with on-again, off-again boyfriend Casper Smart, and rocker Fred Durst gave a grittier edge to the proceedings.

Danny McBride and Scott Caan also star in the upcoming comedy, which is directed by Barry Levinson and written by Mitch Glazer.

“Rock the Kasbah” opens in theaters October 23.
