Marvel has been heavily courting Emily Blunt to play the girlfriend of Captain America, but she turned it down, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Blunt, the Golden Globe winner and star of this award season’s "The Young Victoria," would have brought a British and European following to the heavily patriotic hero tale. But Blunt is close to signing on to other projects and has turned down Marvel’s offer, leaving the studio to decide between several other people on its short list, including Keira Knightley and Alice Eve.
