‘Bold and the Beautiful’ to Air Retrospective Documentary for 7000th Episode

The CBS special presentation will air Jan. 23

How do you celebrate turning 7,000 episodes old? If you’re involved with “The Bold and the Beautiful,” you stand back and take a look at what you’ve done with your life.

The CBS soap opera will break format for its 7000th episode, which airs Jan. 23, presenting a retrospective documentary, CBS said Wednesday.

The documentary will showcase “the most iconic moments and the history of the show’s creation,” as well as present “commentary from the cast, fashion throughout the decades, unforgettable guest stars, original screen test footage and more,” according to the network.

“Seven thousand episodes of television is an incredible achievement, and one we are tremendously proud of,” said Angelica McDaniel, Senior Vice President, Daytime, CBS Entertainment. “This milestone is a testament to the impact of [series creators] Bill and Lee Bell on the genre, the passion and creativity of [executive producer and head writer] Brad Bell, his staff and crew and the unwavering support of our loyal fans.”
