Britney Spears Fans Launch Petition Demanding ‘Sexier’ Version of New Music Video

“We are calling for the original video to be released,” online petition reads

Fans of Britney Spears are up in arms, demanding the release of the pop star’s original version of her her latest music video, “Make Me,” after a more racy take was leaked by TMZ.

On Friday, die-hard followers of the pop princess fired up a Change.org  petition, which garnered more than 10,000 signatures online in less than 24 hours.

“We Britney fans find that the music video is not a suitable representation of the song and we are calling for the original video to be released,” the petition read.

Spears debuted the video for her new single on Friday, but after TMZ revealed there was another steamier version out there, it sparked a fan outcry.

Famed director David LaChapelle presented it to the singer, but her team reportedly thought it was “too much.” But Brit’s camp insists the problem was that it was “pointless” and had no storyline.

This isn’t the first problem with Spears’ upcoming new album “Glory.” Fans also complained about its poorly designed art, which they say is just a reworked still image of Britney from the video.

“Glory” is set to drop August 26.
