As E!’s “I Am Cait” approaches the end of its eight-episode run, transgender icon Caitlyn Jenner is navigating the waters surrounding her female identity and relationships with men.
In a clip from Sunday’s forthcoming episode, Jenner speaks with friend and trans scholar Jennifer Finney Boylan about how she’s prefer men to perceive her.
“It would be very attractive to me, to have a guy treat me like a woman,”the 65-year-old former Olympian told Finney. “That you would be treated like a normal woman… like any other woman on the street. Not make it this big trans thing or this or that. Just a normal relationship.”
Finney takes Jenner to task on her identity now that she’s “in the sisterhood,” and warns against basing her self-worth on the opinions of others.
“We look to men to give us self worth. You have gone to such trouble to become a woman, don’t be a stupid one. Be a smart one,” said Finney.
“I Am Cait” has three episodes left in its run. Jenner was dragged into headlines this week after a Halloween costume mimicking her popular Vanity Fair magazine cover was made available for purchase online.
