‘Bright Lights’: Watch Trailer for Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds Doc (Video)

Film premieres Saturday at 8 p.m. on HBO

HBO has released a trailer for its upcoming Carrie Fisher-Debbie Reynolds documentary, “Bright Lights.”

The now-posthumous release follows the showbiz family as the mother-daughter duo spent their final years living next door to one another in Los Angeles.

Both passed away last week, within a day of each other. By the end, mother and daughter became best friends — though they had come a long way to get there.

“My mother, she’ll forget she’s not 35,” Fisher says in the footage of old Hollywood royalty Reynolds. “Age is horrible for all of us, but she falls from a greater height.”

“Manic-depressive is a disease that was not diagnosed then,” Reynolds states later about her daughter’s troubled youth. “So nobody kind of knew what was going on with Carrie.”

Following their deaths, HBO pushed up the premiere date of “Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds” to Saturday, January 7 at 8 p.m.
