Nathan Fillion will soon be geeking out on CBS.

The “Castle” star is set to appear on the network’s nerd sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” in a role that he should be very well prepared to play, a show representative told TheWrap.

Fillion, whose credits also include “Firefly” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” will guest star as himself on the Feb. 19 episode of the series, titled “The Comic Book Store Regeneration.”

He will pop up in a restaurant as Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) argue over whether it actually is the actor and whether they should approach him. Eventually — no doubt after a fair amount of zingy, nerdspeak-laden back-and forth — they muster up the courage to ask him for a photo.

ABC’s “Castle,” which stars Fillion as mystery writer Richard Castle, is currently in its seventh season.

Other cult faves who have appeared on the CBS comedy include scientist Stephen Hawking, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star Wil Wheaton, Marvel icon Stan Lee and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, among many others.

EW first reported Fillion’s “Bang” casting.
